OEM/ODM sofa sampling checklist for private-label furniture teams

6 min read

What to lock before mass production: dimensions, cover details, fabric lots, assembly kits, carton artwork, and inspection criteria.

Confirm the product brief

Before sampling, buyers should confirm target market, sofa dimensions, seat depth, arm style, cushion feel, fabric direction, and price band. Clear inputs reduce sample revisions and speed up internal approval.

Review private-label details

Labels, care cards, manuals, carton marks, barcodes, and assembly hardware should be reviewed during the sample phase. These details are easy to miss but important for retail and ecommerce readiness.

Approve packing with the product

For compressed sofas, the sample is not complete until the packing is reviewed. Buyers should check recovery, carton fit, loading assumptions, and the final unboxing experience before moving into bulk production.
